Google is all about computers. Well, computers and revenue. Well, about search and computers and revenue. But mainly about the revenue. From AdWords. Help? Not so much. People, not so much. Revenue. Yes, we like revenue. Clicks. Yes, they generate revenue. Phone support? Telephone number for Google AdWords help and support... Well, not so much. Revenue yes. Support, not so much.

Google AdWords Help Telephone Number
OK, you're frustrated. You've obviously landed on this page searching Google for 'AdWords Help Telephone Numbers' or 'AdWords Phone Support' or 'AdWords Telephone Help' or 'AdWords Help Telephone Support.' You're probably as frustrated as I was, when this first happened to me. Why does Google hide the telephone support number? With all their zillions of dollars, and Lord knows the money that you are shoveling into Google as part of your AdWords advertising, wouldn't it be nice if a real live human being picked up the telephone at Google AdWords support?
It would. There are real people there. And they do answer the phone. But Google hides its AdWords telephone support number. Ok I will give it to you, but PROMISE afterwards to return to this blog post and read about the other support options from Google AdWords as well as the online Google AdWords resources. They are pretty good.
Google AdWords Telephone Help and Support Number is: 1-866-246-6453 or 1-866-2Google (how cute).
You will need your AdWords account number, located on the top right of your AdWords login page to proceed.
Other Support Options
Besides telephone support, there are other support options available to Google AdWords users. Some equally hidden. In my class on Google AdWords, I teach all about the strategy and tactics of effective AdWords and making AdWord work as part of your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategy. Hopefully you have taken the classes, or are considering them. One of the values I provide is identifying those hidden resources. Here are a few. For all, you will need to login to your AdWords account at http://www.adwords.com. You can't get there via a direct link (now isn't that dumb?).
- AdWords Help Center - Log in to AdWords, click on the Campaign Tab, then on the far left, bottom, click on Help Center. In the Help Center there are a lot of great question and answer resources on AdWords.
- One inside the AdWords Help Center, click on the AdWords Online Classroom. This is a real gem. You will find free on-demand tutorials, that walk you step-by-step through many AdWords functions. Also, terribly hidden, but once you find it very very useful!
- Again, from inside the AdWords Help Center, click on Help Articles. These are great textual frequently asked questions about AdWords.
Hey, this just in... I complained to AdWords help, and rather than give me the phone number, listed below, I got this very canned answer. There should be a new term, 'Googlespeak' for when they don't really address their needs... They just spit back at you canned, mechanistic answers like this. Nonetheless, it has some direct links to the resources I mention above -
Hello,
Thank you for your email. While we do look forward to helping you, the volume of support requests we get each day usually prevents us from calling AdWords clients directly.
However, we know you need answers and need them fast. So we've worked hard to answer most questions in our Help Center so you can find what you need at any time of day, any day of the week.

Online Resources for Google AdWords
Outside of AdWords, there are other online resources to help you understand AdWords. I am concentrating here on just the official ones.
So, as I always tell my students, Google does a fantastic job as the world's No. 1 search engine, but wow what a terrible, terrible job at organizing its helpful resources! AdWords, like Analytics, has some great information out there, but a lot of it is hidden. Starting with that phone number. It's like they don't ever want to be called - how obnoxious is that?
Oh well, happy SEO and AdWords research!
