The Facebook "Timeline" feature has yet to be rolled out publicly by the social networking giant, but is rumored to be available to Facebook users soon. Facebook Timeline seeks to re-organize your posts, backwards in time and allow a ‘timeline’ of all the important events in your life. The entire look, feel and use of a Facebook profile page is approached differently with more emphasis on pictures, current events, and the like. While this new feature is not yet ready for the business pages on Facebook as of yet, it is definitely a social media marketing tool through which businesses can improve their visibility and networking on their Facebook pages.
The Facebook "Subscribe" feature is not new to Facebook users, however it can be a worthwhile effort in social media marketing for companies with Facebook business pages. Facebook Subscribe opens up the possibility of new groups of users – not just users who ‘like’ your page on Facebook, but users who just want to ‘subscribe.’ By enabling ‘Facebook Subscribe’ on your page, you can then encourage new, outlying groups of interested consumers to hopefully follow your posts.
