Optimizing Landing Pages for SEO, Google AdWords, and Email Marketing: Free Youtube Video Series Announced

Fremont, CA - August 23, 2010 - As part of their commitment to marketing education, the JM Internet Group is proud to announce a new Youtube video: Optimizing Landing Pages for SEO, Google AdWords, and Email Marketing. Many students of search engine optimization and proponents of Google marketing struggle with how best to optimize their landing pages. Landing Pages for SEO

Landing pages are the page first seen after a click - from Google natural results, Google AdWords, or even an email marketing campaign. Most marketers and web guru's know that landing pages are important, but few optimize them effectively for turning a click into an action. Three zones are of paramount importance - confirmation, engagement, and action. The new Youtube video is an excerpt from the full free lunch / free coffee series from the JM Internet group about online marketing: SEO, AdWords, and Social Media.

Beyond being SEO friendly, landing pages should be optimized with keyword heavy content - especially if they are meant to attract SEO web surfers. If they are a PPC or email marketing landing page, in contrast, they should be excluded from a site's robots.txt file so as to not 'contaminate' free traffic with paid traffic.

To make matters even more confusing, many webmaster and Google itself mistakenly call every page on a website a landing page, when the concept really should be reserved for pages with a specific purpose in mind. The Youtube video is free, and engaging. In just three short Youtube videos of approximately ten minutes each, marketers and business will educate themselves on the basics of great SEO-friendly landing pages.
