Do Frames and iFrames hurt your site's indexing by Google for SEO purposes?

Question: -
Q: Are iframes worse for google searches? All my page text is on a seperate Iframed page.

Answer: -
Frames and iFrames are not well liked by Google, Yahoo, and Bing. In many posts by Google personnel, they have indicated that Frames violate the original intention of the Web. In layman's terms frames (and iFrames) can be confusing to the search engine. They can create orphaned pages in that a user can land on them and be lost.

So, bottom line, avoid frames and iframes in terms of your SEO efforts. You can certainly use them for other reasons, but they are to be avoided.

Hope this helps!
