How does the depth of links affect your SEO strategy?

Question: -
Q: We have links from manufacturers of products we sell. Is it a more valuable link to get them to link to our homepage, or is it just as good to have them link to a page deeper in my structure where their products can be found?

Answer: -
All links are valuable, but links deep into your site have an extra value. They tend to spur indexing of the content deep into your website. Google often is very shallow in its site indexing. For many small companies it might index only your home page and just a handful of pages.

Getting links to other pages deep in your site will definitely boost the indexing of those pages, as well as benefit your PageRank. It is definitely something to encourage!

Hope this helps!
