Should I have a search feature on my website?

Question: -
Q: Should I have a search function on my website to help people find blog items quickly?

Answer: -
Ultimately, this doesn't really matter to Google. Google doesn't really index your 'dynamic' content, which is what is generated by search queries, nor will it 'fill in' an empty search query box. In this sense, you have to think about your users.

Google recommends, as do I, that you focus on creating a high quality user experience. Adding search functionality to your site can be very helpful, especially as your site grows. For $100 per year, you can use Google Site Search. That is a very easy way to add search, and one used by the JM Internet Group on our own website.

Hope this helps!
