How long does a news release last on the Web?

Question: -
Q: how long does the "push" last for a news release? do the paid sites last longer or does it matter?

Answer: -
For most of the free news services, your news item will be live for thirty days. That said, what I encourage is for you to syndicate your news via free news services, but also have them live on your own website. Google will often index the services like PRLOG.org first, and then it will link to your own page.

In that way, you can get listed quickly (PRLOG.org) and then stay listed (with your own news), thereby extending your visibility on Google for a particular keyword to several weeks, if not more!

Hope this helps!

- Jason
