How closely does Google follow Yahoo and/or Bing in SEO results?

Question: -
Q: How closely does SEO for Google correspond to results for Yahoo and Bing?

Answer: -
There are a couple issues of importance here. First, by every metric, Google is the overwhelming search leader. By some counts, as much as a 90% market share in markets like technology search. By most counts, at least a 60-70% market share. That said, there are no longer any main differences between Google and its followers.

What will work for Google will work for Bing. Yahoo is discontinuing its search, and outsourcing that to Google, so really you just have to worry about Google and Bing. There are some finer distinctions between Bing and Google, but generally focus on Google and Bing will follow.

You can also use Rank Checker by SEObook.com (the free tool) to compare / contrast your ratings on Google vs. Bing. They will vary, but over all - across most of your keywords, those who perform well on Google perform well on Bing.

Hope this helps!
