Does Google really care about keywords? I thought it ignored keywords for SEO?

Question: -
Q: HTML keywords are not seen by Google anymore; should these keywords be somehow through out the web site then?

Answer: -
This is a common unfortunate confusion. Keyword matter immensely to Google. Keywords need to be woven strategically into the Page Tags of each and every page on your website. Important tags include the TITLE tag, the H1, H2 family, the A HREF tag. The confusion is that google ignores the META KEYWORD tag.

People then jump to the conclusion that Google ignores keywords. This is such a common confusion that I have a blog post about it, here: http://www.jm-seo.org/seo-tutorial/meta-description-tag-seo.html

Hope this helps!
