How long does it take Google to reindex your website for SEO?
Question: -
Q: How long after Google has done an index or update does it take to show up for the end users?
Answer: -
If I understand your question correctly, it is a question I get a lot. How frequently does Google update its index for SEO purposes? Once you make a change how do you get Google to pick it up? How quickly will Google searchers see your new pages?
Basically, you need to think of the web world from Google's perspective. Google is a busy search engine, trying to index the entire content of the web. When it goes to your site (the first few times), it somehow categorizes your site as one that updates daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or maybe never. Google must make some sort of a 'mental note,' about how frequently to be back. So if you never update your website, or you update it only yearly (or monthly or whatever), you are training Google about how frequently to return.
Once you begin to engage in an SEO strategy, the trick is how to change your reputation. How do you improve it? First, begin blogging and posting news. Post links on your home page to your new content. Google looks at the home page first and most frequently. Second, make sure you are use webmaster tools. You can see your indexing patterns there as well. Third, create news and syndicate the news using the free news services I teach in the class. Fourth, get NEW links, as these spur indexing.
Finally, once you have 'changed' your reputation. Stick with it. Stick with a reasonable update schedule and you have a powerful edge over your competition. Google will index you more frequently and give your content more emphasis. So the answer is 'it depends,' 'it depends on your reputation.'
Hope this helps!
