Is there any SEO for Bing? How do you optmize your site for Bing?

Question: -
Q: I'm having trouble optimizing for Bing. Any recommendations?

Answer: -
First, let's all say a prayer for Bing. Yahoo is exiting the search market, having outsourced its search service to Microsoft / Bing. I love Google as much as the next guy, but Google is too powerful in search and is a de facto monopoly. Monopolies are never good, and I wish that the search market was more competitive.

Second, it isn't competitive. You can check compete.com or ClickZ or anywhere else, and you will see that Google has a 70% or more market share. Third, optimize for Google, first. It is the dominant player.

Fourth, your question is hugely important. Are there differences? You can use SEO Book Rank Checker to compare / contrast your position on Bing vs. Google. They refer to it still as live. But that said, Bing seems to focus more on on page factors than Google, and less on links. I don't really know of any systematic compare / contrast of the two search engines beyond that. I do know that generally speaking across all keywords if you do well on Google, you will do well on Bing. Here is a post that sort of sums it up - http://lawfirmandattorney-internet-marketing.com/seo-for-bing/, but take that all with a grain of salt.

Hope this helps!
