Should we change our META TAGS every time we update our web page content for SEO? How frequently will we be indexed?

Question: -
Q: Do we need to change the meta tags every time we update the content of the page? How long before a webpage is index by search engines?

Answer: -
The only META TAGS that really matter are 1) the TITLE tag and 2) the META DESCRIPTION tag. Google strongly recommends that these tags be UNIQUE and ACCURATE for each and every page on your website. So if you change your content, especially the relationship of the content to your target keywords, you definitely do need to update these tags.

Secondly, in terms of reindexing, that is all about your reputation vis-a-vis Google. If you post news and blog frequently, you will be reindexed more rapidly. This is especially true if you syndicate your news through the free services (as I teach in our news class) plus if you have new links.

Hope this helps!
