How does Constant Contact work vs. news and SEO?

Question: -
Q: Several of my clients use a service like Constant Contact for newsletters. What's the best way to store the content on their website? I've been archiving html versions of the entire letter. Would it be better to create separate news items for each article?

Answer: -
The same principles are at work for any content to be indexed. First, create unique 'landing pages' for each news item that have a keyword heavy TITLE tag, META DESCRIPTION, and of course keyword heavy content. Second, link 'from' your primary newsletter page to each 'keyword' landing page.

The problem, in other words, with most newsletters is that they are not focused on a single keyword target. So if the newsletter jumbles many keywords together, in terms of SEO (only), you are better off splitting the newsletter into its constituent parts.

Also, don't forget that not everything on the website needs to be focused on SEO. It may not be practical or desirable to split your newsletter in this way. So in that sense, you may have some parts of the website designed to attract Google and others not so much.

Hope this helps!
