I would suspect not. Google can't see or index any video or image content. So adding a video, per se, doesn't make a news release more visible or attractive to Google.
That said, don't forget that the ultimate purpose of your news release is to get the humans excited! So having video or image content in a news release could definitely be a good thing. After all, it's not just about getting the clicks to your news release - it's also about getting those humans excited enough to buy your product or service!
