Does Google see domain names that are forwarded (301 redirects)?

Question: -
Q: Does google see domain names that are forwarded?

Q: That's OK. Here's another one...For a 5-10 page website, is is better to have directories with one or 2 pages each, or just the pages? e.g. www.domain.com/products/product1.htm vs. www.domain.com/product1.htm?

Answer: -
Domain names that are empty shells, and just automatically forward to another site with 301 redirects are basically unimportant to Google. The domains that matter 'exist' on the Web - they have content, and they have links pointing to them from other websites.

As for your directory level, this is really a tight call. I personally like to have directories and then files inside them, rather than cram everything into my top level directory. I also think that Google does like a consistent keyword heavy directory structure, but this is not really confirmed. It is more a hunch.

Basically, either way is fine, especially for a small website. Remember the structural elements are significantly less important than the on page factors like TITLE tags and off page factors like inbound links.

Hope this helps!
