Are website templates like Wordpress, Weebbly, SEO friendly?
Question: -
Q: are the free website templates that are available (word press, weebly, etc.) seo friendly? can you tweak for seo?
Answer: -
There are 'SEO plugins' for the various platforms, especially Wordpress. That's the good news.
The bad news is that none is perfect. They are rather antiquated and reflect only the understanding of their creators. The most common is at -

It's pretty good, but you STILL have to understand what tags do what, and it doesn't help with that. Many of my students who have used it still struggle especially with the H1 / H2 tags in it. And it perpetuates the non-truth that the META TAGS (especially the keyword tag) matter, which is not true.
So, like most, it's a tool. It is helpful for Wordpress users, but far from perfect. I really advocate understanding the HTML output you want, and focusing on your keywords - then, making sure that whatever platform you are using to create your website gives you HTML that is 'seo friendly.' Work back from the output, as it were.
If a plug in or platform for SEO could do the thinking for us, well this just woulnd't be any fun, would it? :-)
Hope this helps!
