Can you SEO optimized pages based on multiple geographic locations?

Question: -
Q: When trying to rank for keywords with multiple locations ie. web design city 1, web design city 2, Is it better to create a page for each with tags optimized for each (does google detect and penalize this as duplicate content?) or optimize one page with all locations as well.

Answer: -
You can definitely optimize for searches that contain geographic names, and you definitely should do if your customers input city names plus your other keyword. These landing pages should not be EXACTLY the same with the difference of just one or two words.

Those sorts of copy cat / cookie cutter pages ultimately won't work. But, you can have many pages that are 80% similar and that usually isn't a problem. It's not the worst thing you can do... So I do recommend creating landing pages targeting one geographic search area. As in all things, this is the "art" of SEO - try it, see if it gets picked up by Google and keep experimenting!

Hope this helps!
