On inbound links for SEO does the rank of the website work?

Question: -
Q: u said inbound links.. does it matter what the ranking of the originating website is?

Q: is a 100% flash based page a good idea?

Answer: -
Absolutely it matters. As I teach in the class on link building, inbound links to your website are basically 'votes' by other websites that your website is important. PageRank is Google's measurement of the AUTHORITY of these websites and definitely not all links or 'web votes' are equal. The higher the PageRank the more valuable that link is. A link from cnn.com, for example, is worth more than a link from the jm-seo.org website, and on down the list.

As for Adobe Flash, we will be discussing that at a later Free Lunch / Coffee webinar. Short answer: no. Google doesn't index Flash and a 100% Flash website is essentially invisible to Google, Yahoo, Bing, or any other search engine.

Hope this helps!
