Should you use ALT image attribute and keywords for search engine optimization?

Question: -
Q: use keywords on alt tags for images?

Answer: -
Images are not visible to Google. This is the basic problem with Flash, and the basic problem with JPG, GIF, PNG and other image types. Yes, absolutely use the ALT attribute for images and put your relevant keywords / key phrases there. This does help with page tag / keyword density.

But, that said, the ALT attribute is rather weak and just one component of an effective keyword / HTML strategy. So I would do this, but you need to use the other page tag techniques we teach in page tags plus of course have lots of keyword heavy content!

Hope this helps!
