If much of our website is behind a registration wall or password... Can we optimize for SEO?
Question: -
Q: A significant amount of our company contact is accessed by password only. This works well since visitors login and develop highly productive sales leads. Is there a strategy for leveraging this content for SEO despite the login requirement?
Answer: -
Anything behind a password protection or registration wall is INVISIBLE to Google, Bing, and the other search engines. So for publicity and SEO sake, you have to create VISIBLE pages.
Not every page on a Website needs to be SEO friendly, but if you are wanting to get FREE traffic from Google to promote your company to NEW customers, then you will need to build an open website. Not every single page, but certainly your home page and from there gateway or landing pages that are open for Google to spider.
Hope this helps!
