What is the difference between Google+ for business and for Google+ personal?
Question
When you say "submit your sitemap" you mean the one generated on free site not your webpage link to your sitemap on site.
Also can you clarify when you speak about google+ and Google+ page for businesses which you use and what you think about them
Answer: -
In terms of sitemaps, you cwant TWO kinds: a) an HTML sitemap at the BOTTOM of all pages, that gives Google a simple and clear HTML clickable link from the home page to ALL pages of the site, and b) an XML sitemap, referenced in your robots.txt file AND via Webmaster tools (submitted, once). The HTML sitemap is MUCH more important.
As for Google+... There are THREE variants of Google+. -
#1 - Google+ personal - this is like FACEBOOK / for people. A typical social network, verym much modeled on Facebook. You have followers and share content. BUT it has one HUGE SEO benefit - you can attach your website content to your Google+ personal page and get your picture to show. It's called AUTHORSHIP. I have a tutorial on Google+ and authorship / get your picture to show here: http://www.jm-seo.org/seo-tutorial/authorship-rich-snippets.html.
#2 - Google+ business pages (NOT tied to local) - this is like FACEBOOK / for businesses. Has NOT been very successful. Does NOT allow any integration with SEO / Google search. I do not see much value in this at all. You can do it if you like, but I don't see a huge benefit.
#3 - Google+ Local BUSINESS pages - this is like YELP or CITYSEARCH. VERY valuable, but ONLY for businesses that have a LOCAL presence. This is taught in more depth in my local SEO class.
So, in sum, do an inventory of your business and where you see the BIG opportunities and set up those pages. For most businesses it is either #1 (a PERSONAL Google+ page linked to the corporate page / to get the picture to show on searches) or #3 Google+ Local, but not #2 the Google+ corporate pages.
Hope this helps!
