Reviews, Reviews, Reviews – We Enter the Second Wave of Review Marketing. First, no one cared about reviews – Google+ Local, Yelp, or Amazon. Second, everyone (who was smart) started caring, and staring cajoling, begging, inducing, encouraging (buying?) positive reviews. Now, begins a backlash. All the major providers – Yelp, Google+ Local, Amazon – are beginning to push back against review marketing. Yet what are the rules? What should be the rules.
