A 2020 TUTORIAL FOR SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

Here is background on this release. Each fall, marketers return to work from the summer focused on how to improve their digital marketing. Social Media usually tops the list of “to-dos,” but marketers can be stymied by the busy fall workload. In addition to just the general busyness of the fall season, social media seems to be rapidly evolving. What was once easy on Facebook (something like “organic reach”) seems now to be hard. What was once difficult on YouTube (as for example advertising with direct response) is now easy. Small business marketers often search frantically for the best tutorials on the topic only to find outdated tutorials from 2017, 2018, or even 2001. The Google search engine doesn’t help matters much, as it tends to prioritize content that has many inbound links over content that truly provides up-to-date and innovative content on social media marketing. Perhaps the failure of the Google+ network is to blame, or perhaps not.
